This is my Everything But the Kitchen Sink Salad.
Wow, we love summer! A feast of fresh veggies and fruits every day. This salad is so nutritious as it is loaded with about seven different veggies. I like to serve this salad with my Mom's honey mustard dressing it is also great with a simple Italian dressing. For tonight's dinner I am making a slow cooker pot roast with garlic and fresh rosemary and thyme. Will serve with red smashed potatoes with sour cream and chives. I quarter the potatoes and boil in salted water till tender, drain and then add a dollop of butter and good amount of sour cream, salt and pepper and rough smash. Then put in a serving bowl with snipped chives scattered over the top. We are going to have sauteed zucchini with chili peppers to the side. I am also going to make more zucchini bread this afternoon. So I am a Susy Homemaker today. I think it is perfect day for that as it is still cool and cloudy out, almost looks like a shower. Tomorrow it heats up once more that will make the tomatoes smile. I now must head out the door for my walk and get on with my cook fest in the kitchen.
